I am in still repose
I am in season
I am autumn

My leaves have fallen
Their striking colours sent back

Earth, Mother, home
Existence is lackluster
Each step a sober stumble

My wind but a slight stifle as
Time slides wordlessly forward

Dry earth where fertile roots no longer remain
Deep inside my secrets
Death, awaits

No space between
When you hold me
I can still dream

Tuck me in
No one else is here
When I’m with you
I want to be near

And- when I whisper your name
You come to me
I look in your eyes and I know
You feel the same

Inside my thoughts
Your name is written on my heart
My friend, no matter the distance
We’ll never be far apart

Peace

Light as a star
Peace is near, not far

A shining lights my being
gives me a simple feeling

rays of sunshine
know the weather's fine

Letting go
'just let it flow'

I Saw a Path

I saw a path that led down
to water, stones, ground
My shirt was damp
I felt the beginning of cramps
I pushed myself further not knowing what lay ahead
a straight path, hill or a winding bend

The Public

I'd rather read a book of tragedies than turn a page to my lifeless soul.
Shut away emotion which comes to the surface at the most inconvienient times, bubbling over into rage when I can't be alone with shadowed memories.
A lifetime spent running, though I did not know it till now.
Each new hurt a repeat of the deepest, now unable to hide I cry for the public.
But the public has no time for my pain, nor I.
